1. Run the slmgr.vbs command

Slmgr.vbs is a command line licensing tool. This is a visual basic script used to configure licensing in Windows and also helps you see the licensing status of a Windows 10/8/7 installation.

To execute the slmgr.vbs command, you need to open the Command Prompt with admin rights.

First, run the following command: “slmgr.vbs /dlv“

If the result is GVLK, then you know that the product has been activated through Volume licensing.

Next, execute the following command: “slmgr.vbs –ipk XXXXX-XXXXX–XXXXX–XXXXX–XXXXX”

This command will install the product key.

In the Command Prompt, you need to replace the letter X with the number associated with the product key.

Next, in the same Command Prompt window, execute the command: “slmgr.vbs –ato”

This command will activate the copy of Windows.

2. Use the Slui 3 command

You can also use slui.exe to activate Windows as follows:

• Right-click on the Start button and select the Run option.
• In the dialog box, enter Slui 3 and press the Enter key.
• Click Yes button if UAC appears on the screen.

3. Run Activation Troubleshooter

• Open Windows Settings with the shortcut Win + I.
• Select Update & Security.
• On the left, scroll and select the Activation button.

You may have to wait a while until the troubleshooting process is complete. Then restart your Windows 10 PC and check if the error code 0x8007007B still appears.

4. Contact Microsoft support
